About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments, including VB-MAPP, SSIS, FAST, Skills Streaming, and EFL
  • Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on assessment results and ABA best practices
  • Provide direct ABA services and implement interventions to teach new skills
  • Supervise and mentor caregivers and direct care staff, ensuring treatment fidelity and providing support and training
  • Monitor client progress through data collection and analysis and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute clinical expertise
  • Maintain accurate client records, including progress notes, session notes, and assessment reports
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals involved in client care
  • Travel between offices, client homes, and multiple work sites as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in an applicable field and 2 years of ABA experience required
  • Candidates with at least 12 semester units in ABA may be considered if close to meeting the experience requirement
  • Significant knowledge of ABA as a discipline
  • Knowledge of community resources and agencies serving children
  • Experience implementing and/or designing ABA programs for individuals with ASD and other diagnoses
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and related computer software
  • Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA practices and adherence to policies
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, lift up to 40 lbs, and spend time on feet
  • Ability to manage physical and emotional demands, frequent exposure to disability disorders, occasional emergency situations and trauma, and constant client contact
  • Occasional driving to and from offices and client homes required
  • Ability to travel to multiple work sites and client homes; reliable transportation required
  • Valid California Driver's License with insurance and clean driving record
  • Must pass health screenings, obtain required vaccinations, and clear TB testing
  • Criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ)
  • Clearance through the Office of Inspector General
  • CPR, Safety Care, and National Provider Identifier (NPI) certifications must be obtained and maintained
