About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments, including VB-MAPP, SSIS, FAST, Skills Streaming, and EFL
- Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on assessment results and ABA best practices
- Provide direct ABA services to clients, implementing interventions and teaching new skills
- Supervise and mentor caregivers and direct care staff, ensuring treatment fidelity and providing support and training
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and professionals involved in client care
- Monitor client progress through data collection and analysis and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Maintain accurate client records, including progress notes, session notes, and assessment reports
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute clinical expertise to collaborative decisions
- Stay current with ABA research and developments
- Work across telehealth, in-clinic, and in-home client sessions within the assigned region
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field and 2 years of ABA experience required
- Candidates with at least 12 semester units in ABA will be considered if they are close to meeting the experience requirement
- Significant knowledge of ABA as a discipline and familiarity with the field of ABA
- Knowledge of community resources and agencies that serve children
- Experience implementing and/or designing ABA programs for individuals with ASD and other diagnoses
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and related computer software
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, lift up to 40 lbs, and spend time on your feet
- Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA practices and adherence to policies
- Must be able to manage the physical and emotional demands of the role
- Occasional driving to and from offices and client homes is required
- Ability to travel to multiple work sites and client homes; reliable transportation required
- Valid California Driver’s License with insurance and a clean driving record
- Must pass health screenings, obtain required vaccinations, and clear TB testing
- Must obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ)
- Must obtain and maintain clearance through the Office of Inspector General
- Must obtain and maintain CPR, Safety Care, and National Provider Identifier (NPI) certifications
- American Sign Language or bilingual preferred
