About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments, including VB-MAPP, SSIS, FAST, Skills Streaming, and EFL
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention plans based on assessment results and ABA best practices
  • Provide direct ABA services to children with ASD and other diagnoses
  • Implement interventions and teach new skills
  • Supervise and mentor caregivers and direct care staff, ensuring treatment fidelity and providing ongoing support and training
  • Monitor client progress through data collection and analysis and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute clinical expertise
  • Maintain accurate client records, progress notes, session notes, and assessment reports
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals involved in client care
  • Travel between offices, client homes, and multiple worksites as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in an applicable field and 2 years of ABA experience required
  • Candidates with at least 12 semester units in ABA may be considered if close to meeting the experience requirement
  • Significant knowledge of ABA and familiarity with ABA as a discipline
  • Knowledge of community resources and agencies serving children
  • Experience implementing and/or designing ABA programs for individuals with ASD and other diagnoses
  • Fluency in American Sign Language or a second spoken language preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related computer software
  • Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA practices and adherence to policies
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, lift up to 40 lbs, and spend time on feet
  • Ability to manage physical and emotional demands, including emergency situations, trauma, and constant client contact
  • Occasional driving and travel to multiple worksites and client homes; reliable transportation required
  • Valid California Driver's License with insurance and clean driving record
  • Must pass health screenings, obtain required vaccinations, and clear TB testing
  • Must obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice
  • Must obtain and maintain Office of Inspector General clearance
  • Must obtain and maintain CPR, Safety Care, and NPI certifications
