About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the garment fit process, including live model/mannequin sessions, construction evaluation, and pattern/grading revision analysis
- Collaborate with Design, Product Development, Sourcing, and Merchandising teams to align on fit intent and brand standards
- Create and manage technical packs in Flex PLM, including measurement specifications, tolerances, grading, fit photos, technical sketches, and construction details
- Establish and maintain fit and construction standards for brand consistency and quality
- Lead fit sessions and recommend construction alternatives based on fit history
- Communicate with International Buying Offices, vendors, and factories regarding technical and fit compliance
- Resolve fit and construction issues within development and production timelines
- Analyze customer feedback and competitive research to optimize garment fit and quality
- Conduct block reviews and fit symposiums
- Coach and support junior technical designers
Requirements
What you’ll need- College degree in fine arts or design, or equivalent work experience in a design related field preferred
- 8+ years of technical design experience required
- Knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, grading, fabric performance, and manufacturing processes
- Experience with PLM systems, preferably Flex PLM
- Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Excel
- CLO 3D and Gerber software training is a plus
- Experience working with multiple channels such as wholesale and discounters is preferred
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines under tight deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
- Proactive, adaptable, and resolution-oriented problem-solving ability
