About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage placement and confirmation of all direct import buys
  • Research the development of new resources
  • Assist in resolving quality and delivery issues
  • Manage and execute a brand or product category and report directly to the Director
  • Build strategic relationships with cross-functional partners, internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and teams
  • Manage internal and external teams and Time and Action to deliver on IMU, quality, and delivery goals
  • Conduct pre- and post-season analysis and present findings and actions to executive management
  • Maintain detailed product cost information, including CIP and Fabric
  • Negotiate program pricing and delivery
  • Monitor quality and delivery performance metrics and implement improvement initiatives
  • Manage move outs, cancellations, and liabilities
  • Complete special projects as assigned
  • Manage execution and drive performance of sourcing strategies across all functions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1-3 years of related experience in retail, apparel manufacturing, quality, and trade agreements preferred
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build relationships cross-functionally
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask successfully and prioritize while meeting critical deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word
