About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Handle daily accounting functions, update data and process payments as required
Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements
Perform reconciliations for data analysis, accuracy and validity
Prepare statutory reports for local and foreign authorities
Assist senior team members and participate in ad-hoc finance projects
Monitor and implement internal controls
Contribute towards initiatives that improve internal processes
Assist auditors in performing their duties
Perform other tasks assigned from time to time

Requirements

What you’ll need

ACCA and/or B. Accty. (Hons) qualified or at the final stages of completing ACCA qualification
2–3 years’ experience in a similar position
Excellent analytical acumen along with a strong ability with reading numbers and figures
Sound knowledge of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
Knowledge of Maltese Tax and VAT legislation
Conversant with standard software packages
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel
Self-motivated with a determined approach to work
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken English
Ability to work both independently and within a team and possessing strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet expected company deadlines
Comfortable in a fast-paced and international environment
