About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist the Athletic Director with the day-to-day operation of the Dallas Parochial League
  • Support administrative and managerial functions for the league office
  • Assist with meeting and clinic setup, reservations, conducting events, and scheduling DPL sporting events
  • Assist with clinics, tournaments, and post-season play
  • Maintain the DPL website with updated information, schedules, standings, and related content
  • Assist with resolving concerns and conflicts
  • Work with the PC Business Office to set up new vendors and process payments
  • Oversee and manage coaches, officials, and scorekeepers during league events
  • Take stock of equipment and work with vendors to place timely orders
  • Assist with formulating the annual budget
  • Communicate with visitors and respond to telephone inquiries professionally and courteously

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and own transportation
  • Basic knowledge of athletics, bracketing, schedules, and standings
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite
  • Knowledge of website management and construction
  • Ability to work closely with member schools’ Athletic Directors, volunteer coaches, and parents
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in an Athletic field
  • Ability to work variable hours and schedules, including as-needed tasks depending on the time of year and sports in session
  • Interest and love of all sports
  • Position requires traveling to various events, meetings, and games
