Key responsibilities & impact

Conceptualize, research, report, write, and produce 360-degree content about the Catholic Church and Diocese, including text, photos, videos, and interactive features
Collaborate on multimedia projects providing a 360-degree view of stories and events
Capture and edit 360-degree video and audio using multimedia tools and equipment
Manage projects from planning through budgeting, scheduling, and completion
Stay current with trends in 360-degree storytelling and multimedia production
Develop and maintain relationships with the faithful to support content production
Write and post photos and edited videos on The Texas Catholic and Revista Catolica social media platforms
Ensure content adheres to the ethical and moral teachings of the Catholic Church

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be Roman Catholic in good standing with the Catholic Church
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in pre-communications
Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in photography, videography, and social media platform content engagement at a media company
Experience managing projects from start to finish and reporting on engagement
Exceptional interviewing and writing skills
Proficiency with digital photography and video equipment, including DSLR cameras and smartphones
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Final Cut and/or Premiere Pro, iMovie, and WordPress
Knowledge and proficiency in HTML, Adobe Creative Suite, Motion, After Effects, and animation is a plus
Drone piloting proficiency and license is a plus
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving skills
Knowledge of the Catholic Church and its teachings
Spanish proficiency is a plus
Dependable vehicle and valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to travel to various locations and transport equipment or materials
Ability to transport all equipment needed to perform the duties without hardship
