About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop the project’s MEAL system and manage MEAL implementation through start-up, implementation, and close-out
- Contribute to needs assessments and develop results frameworks, theories of change, Proframes, and SMILER
- Provide technical support for qualitative and quantitative MEAL data analysis, data quality, and data management
- Integrate data analysis and reflection to improve ongoing activities and evidence-based programming
- Ensure compliance with donor and agency MEAL requirements and standards
- Communicate the agency’s MEAL approach and key findings to country program colleagues and partners
- Maintain collaborative relationships with communities and stakeholders and support meaningful participation
- Share MEAL learning in broader regional discussions
- Contribute to MEAL planning, narratives, budgeting, and implementation
- Identify partner capacity and technical assistance needs; contribute to capacity strengthening and train stakeholders
- Support donor report production and organize quarterly partner meetings
- Report annual Global Results in the CRS system and upload reports to centralized systems
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in international development, International Relations, Sociology, Statistics or a related field is required
- 5 years of relevant field-based experience in coordinating or managing light to moderately complex projects, preferably with an international NGO
- Experience communicating with communities and implementing accountability mechanisms
- Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
- Strong relationship management skills and ability to work effectively with local stakeholders
- Quantitative and qualitative data analysis and database management skills
- Excellent communication and drafting skills for effective reporting in English
- Fluency in English required
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 40%
- Proficiency in French is a plus
- Preferred: experience engaging with partner organizations
- Preferred: experience using MS Windows, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), SPSS, Stata or R, web conferencing applications, and information management systems
