About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a member of the leadership team for the multi-country Continuity of Integrated Health Services (CIHS) project
- Lead and manage the technical MEAL component throughout the program cycle
- Develop, implement, supervise, and strengthen data collection, management, and reporting systems at community, health-structure, and partner levels
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and regularity
- Oversee project performance monitoring, data analysis, indicator reporting, data quality assurance, evaluations, and accountability mechanisms across participating countries
- Manage and supervise program talent, including goal setting, coaching, development plans, staff well-being, and performance management
- Lead program learning, research, publications, knowledge management, and dissemination of promising practices and lessons learned
- Pre-position CRS for MEAL growth opportunities and provide technical guidance for large or complex proposals
- Design and implement methodologies integrating donor strategies, priorities, and requirements into CRS approaches
- Oversee technical assistance and capacity strengthening for program staff and partner organizations
- Identify, assess, evaluate, and strengthen relevant partnerships
- Ensure timely project expenditures aligned with financial plans and responsible stewardship of project resources
- Maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders to support project objectives and CRS’s mission
- Ensure donor compliance and support continuous improvement and high-quality programming
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Statistics, Information Management, or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years of experience in MEAL
- Experience successfully managing large-scale and complex MEAL programs or projects
- Experience managing a team of professionals and developing a strong learning environment
- Strong experience in project grants management, including project design
- Experience engaging with partner organizations
- Strong understanding of monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning principles and practices
- Knowledge of MEAL system design, indicator tracking, data quality assurance, feedback and response mechanisms, and learning processes
- Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to write high-quality technical proposals
- Excellent quantitative and qualitative data analysis and database management skills
- Excellent communication and drafting skills for reporting in English
- Strong relationship management capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with digital data collection platforms or ICT4MEAL tools
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
- English fluency required; additional French proficiency preferred
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 40%
- Must be legally able to work where the position is performed
- Pre-employment medical clearance required for positions requiring residence or frequent travel outside a home country
- Preferred: Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Statistics, Information Management, or related field
- Preferred: experience in an international NGO and managing grants for multiple public donors
- Preferred: experience with MS Windows, MS Office, SPSS, Stata, R, web conferencing applications, and information management systems
