About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Contribute to the design, advocacy, and implementation of CIHS Digital Health Solutions strategies, standards, tools, and best practices
- Support country teams and government counterparts in business-process analysis, requirements documentation, and translation of programmatic needs into digital health system specifications
- Provide technical solutions, leadership, and support to country teams, Ministries of Health, directorates, and government stakeholders
- Strengthen the design, implementation, scale-up, interoperability, governance, and sustainability of digital health and health information systems
- Ensure digital solutions align with national strategies, policies, standards, and health-system-strengthening objectives
- Support strategic growth, proposal development, project design, staffing, and milestone plans, workplans, budgets, and reports
- Lead capacity-strengthening initiatives covering solution design, project management, system configuration and deployment, mobile device management, user support, training, and technology operations
- Support the collection, management, analysis, visualization, and use of health data for decision-making, monitoring, and service-delivery improvements
- Develop learning and training strategies, roadmaps, governance structures, and sustainability plans; organize or facilitate trainings, workshops, and conferences
- Mentor and coach technical advisors, country-program staff, and government partners
- Lead knowledge management and learning activities, including documenting and sharing successes, practices, lessons learned, and implementation research
- Represent CRS in regional and global digital-health forums and build partnerships to influence approaches, funding opportunities, and policies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in international development, International Relations or a relevant technical area
- Minimum of ten years of work experience in digital health systems and solutions with progressive responsibilities
- Three years overseas in multiple regions as a technical advisor and/or program manager of a Digital Health Systems project
- Experience focusing on national digital health infrastructure and/or a multisectoral project with a national digital health infrastructure component
- Experience developing curricula, tools, and products supporting digital health systems interventions and programming
- Experience transferring knowledge to diverse audiences through training, mentoring, and formal and informal methods
- Experience with program monitoring and evaluation, including indicators, data collection tools and methodologies, data analysis, and data presentation
- Experience representing an organization with donors, governments, international NGOs, local partners, faith-based organizations, and civil society
- Understanding of partnership principles
- Strong understanding of technical project management, product/systems development, and implementation of large-scale digital health interventions, including HMIS, EMR, supply chain, or related tools
- Knowledge of related disciplines to ensure a cross-sectoral approach
- Proficiency in MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), web conferencing applications, information and budget management systems, and knowledge-sharing networks
- Strong relationship management skills and ability to influence people not under direct supervision
- Ability to work with individuals in diverse geographical and cultural settings
- Very strong strategic, analytical, problem-solving, and systems-thinking skills
- Very strong written and oral communication skills
- Very strong presentation, facilitation, training, mentoring, and coaching skills
- Proactive, resourceful, and results-oriented
- English required
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 75%
- Must be legally able to work where the position is performed

- Successful candidates requiring residence or frequent travel outside a home country must clear pre-employment medical clearance
