About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead Cayenta CIS software implementation and professional services engagements from inception through go-live and stabilization
  • Manage and mentor Application Consultants and project resources across consulting tiers
  • Provide solution oversight across concurrent Cayenta CIS implementations
  • Allocate and balance consulting resources across client engagements
  • Monitor team performance, utilization, billability, ticket and incident trends, and report to senior management
  • Drive standard delivery frameworks, fit-to-standard configuration, industry templates, and training-first user adoption
  • Lead complex or greenfield CIS solutions, custom modifications, new utility types, regulatory environments, and integrations
  • Review CIS configuration, integration design, and data conversion approaches
  • Improve implementation methodology, documentation, and staff training
  • Lead client workshops and gather configuration or customization requirements
  • Partner with Project Managers and other departments on sales-to-services handoffs and post-go-live transitions
  • Conduct post-implementation retrospectives and coordinate handoffs to Customer Support
  • Establish, track, and manage project budgets, cost estimates, allocations, project health, milestones, go-lives, and variance reporting
  • Manage client relationships, executive communications, steering committee updates, delivery risks, mitigation planning, change control, and escalations
  • Plan and deliver internal consultant training and Harris user conference sessions
  • Champion AI-assisted tools for statements of work, status reports, test documentation, meeting summaries, and variance analysis
  • Develop best practices, standards, and processes for the Cayenta professional services team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience in a professional services or consulting role, ideally within utility/municipal software implementations
  • 4+ years of experience in a senior/managing consultant role, with a track record across 4 or more complex CIS implementation projects or 20+ successful upgrades, or 2+ years of formal leadership experience for candidates coming from a people-management track
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple concurrent software implementation projects for utility or municipal clients
  • Working knowledge of the utility customer-to-cash lifecycle and/or public sector implementation environments
  • Demonstrated capability in managing project P&L, budget forecasting, consultant utilization, and contract scope control
  • Practical knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid software implementation methodologies
  • Experience with PSA/project and test management tools, including Jira, CayStone/SpiraTest, ServiceNow, Power BI, and Excel
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage executive client relationships and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Current, valid passport
  • Legally eligible to travel internationally, including required visa exemption or travel visas for Canada, the United States, and the Caribbean
