About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Overall leadership, management, and development of a data center portfolio
- Responsibility for service delivery, QHSE, compliance, people and talent management, and operational management
- Responsibility for profit and loss, as well as the development and implementation of contract financial plans
- Increasing revenue and profitability, reducing work in progress (WIP) and outstanding receivables, and achieving cost savings
- Developing the contract portfolio and ensuring fulfillment of contractual obligations
- Identifying strategic portfolio opportunities and integrating additional services and projects
- Ensuring communication and implementation of company policies and business processes
- Ensuring safe and healthy working conditions and implementing health and safety policies
- Promoting customer focus and maintaining sustainable relationships with key customer contacts
- Promoting and serving as a role model for the implementation of CBRE RISE values
- Creating a supportive learning environment and ensuring training and development planning
- Ensuring efficient staffing structures and providing support during peak periods, business continuity and disaster recovery, and knowledge transfer
- Ensuring capable contract teams, including the appointment, qualification, and succession planning of contract managers
- Supporting sales through solution development, presentations, advisory discussions, customer visits, and contract mobilization
- Collaborating with other operational leaders
- Ensuring appropriate contract review, audit, and control systems
- Leading, advising, coaching, and directly supporting teams
- Participating in management and team meetings, briefings, consultation forums, correspondence, public relations, and reporting
- Deputizing for the Business Unit Leader in their absence
Requirements
What you’ll need- Relevant technical background with extensive experience in the data center market, particularly in managed services
- At least five years of cross-functional leadership experience in data center operations or service delivery for large data centers (2,000 m² or more)
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical (M&E) maintenance and ICT infrastructure operations
- Strong understanding of modern data center technologies and their implementation
- Demonstrated experience in business development and customer relationship management
- Ability to communicate with management- and executive-level stakeholders
- Ability to earn the trust and support of senior management and key customer decision-makers
- Entrepreneurial mindset and strong commercial acumen
- Excellent financial and negotiation skills
- Experience building and leading management teams
- Experience with leadership and people-management practices for the development of managed services
- Strong ability to motivate and influence, combined with a high level of personal integrity
- Good knowledge of labor and employment law
- Confident and assertive demeanor
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Ability to consistently deliver results
- Ability to align strategic objectives with high customer satisfaction
- Very good understanding of relevant health and safety regulations
