About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain the Workday recruiting applicant tracking system and keep information up to date for all open positions
  • Source passive candidates and candidates for difficult-to-fill positions using LinkedIn, Facebook, Indeed, and other platforms
  • Create, post, and manage recruitment advertising across social media platforms
  • Coordinate and conduct phone interviews
  • Manage the pre-screen and background check process and assist as backup with onboarding new hires
  • Manage the candidate experience from application through the end of training
  • Maintain professional communication and confidentiality with candidates and employees
  • Represent and promote the organization to potential applicants by providing information, answering questions, and collecting applicant data
  • Identify recruitment issues and implement activities to continuously improve processes
  • Attend job fairs, community activities, and recruitment-related events, including travel as needed
  • Process paperwork and forms accurately and timely; maintain organized, current, and confidential personnel and department information
  • Manage the full life cycle of recruitment, including sourcing, advertising, screening, interviewing, selection, and background reporting
  • Perform other assigned tasks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in Recruiting required
  • Onboarding experience preferred
  • Significant knowledge of HR functions
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and industry-specific requirements; DOT/FMCSA regulations preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, and Teams
  • Ability to work independently while handling multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to work irregular hours when necessary to meet business needs
  • Ability to travel when necessary
