About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure cleanliness of facilities and buildings
  • Dispose of garbage and waste
  • Perform event and room setups and breakdowns
  • Perform maintenance work ranging from basic repairs to more complex tasks
  • Check lighting, clean light lenses, and replace bulbs and ballasts
  • Maintain and repair doors and locks
  • Perform caulking, preparation work, and painting
  • Complete minor carpentry repairs
  • Perform plumbing maintenance, including repairing or replacing faucets and fixtures
  • Maintain limited-access gates, storage closets, doors, and locks
  • Clean areas around the pool, dumpster, and common areas
  • Collect trash and dog-waste receptacles for disposal
  • Detect and rectify maintenance needs throughout the property
  • Support the Lifestyle Director after normal business hours and provide occasional on-call services
  • Help maintain the community and ensure a safe environment for residents

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Previous experience in a related maintenance field is desired
  • Electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance experience is desired
  • Experience in general maintenance
  • Entry-level computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Self-motivated, observant, and highly attentive to detail
  • Ability to detect maintenance needs throughout the property and rectify concerns
  • Ability to communicate effectively with managers, residents, and peers verbally and in writing
  • Ability to follow instructions and designated schedules
  • Dependable, solution-oriented, and professional appearance
  • Pleasant personality and people skills
  • Must pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
  • Must have a valid driver's license in the state of employment
  • Must have a personal vehicle
  • Ability to support the Lifestyle Director after normal business hours
  • Availability for occasional on-call services
  • Ability to walk long distances across grounds in various weather conditions
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry supplies or equipment up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during meetings or events
  • Manual dexterity using computers and mobile devices
  • Ability to operate a vehicle
  • Must maintain a clean motor vehicle report and current automobile insurance at statutory limits when driving is required
