About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead CDP Partner Connect, its disaster intelligence service for funders
  • Own Partner Connect’s roadmap, delivery model, templates and timelines
  • Finish enhancement work and lead the updated product launch
  • Lead Partner Connect client relationships and run regular briefings on active disasters and recovery
  • Coordinate production with grants, education, research and program teams
  • Monitor disasters, gather information from partners and prepare vetted nonprofit recommendations
  • Deliver quarterly impact reports and provide clear guidance when disasters strike
  • Build scalable tools and processes, including a client-facing portal
  • Grow the client base through outreach, proposals, scopes of work, pricing and renewals
  • Track client engagement and document delivered value
  • Support and manage Advisory Services projects, including curriculum, learning and planning engagements
  • Lead client-facing webinars, business development meetings and expert consultations
  • Develop new Advisory Services offerings
  • Connect clients with CDP grants, education and convening offerings
  • Support organizational initiatives and strategy development
  • Represent CDP at external events
  • Collaborate across the organization and perform other assigned duties
  • Travel throughout the year and attend periodic on-site client meetings, conferences and staff retreats
  • Coordinate occasional evening and weekend work when major disasters occur

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 5-7 years in consulting, client services, philanthropy, non-profit disaster management or a related field
  • Experience managing client relationships and complex projects in tight timelines
  • Experience advising corporate or private foundations, donor-advised fund sponsors or corporate giving programs
  • Experience owning a product, service line or program, including its quality and its revenue
  • Experience representing organizations in rooms with senior leaders at foundations and corporations
  • Ability to lead client meetings independently or collaboratively
  • Excellent writing and ability to produce client-ready material requiring little editing
  • Sound judgment in fast-moving, ambiguous situations
  • Experience building working relationships across teams to deliver to clients
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and comfort building or applying new technology in day-to-day work
  • Preferred: experience building repeatable service processes and managing digital tools such as client portals
  • Preferred: familiarity with nonprofit due diligence or grantmaking
  • Preferred: experience writing proposals or growing a book of new clients
  • Preferred: experience with CRM systems
  • Preferred: supervisory experience leading teams and developing talent
  • Commitment to CDP’s mission and strategy
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States now and in the future
  • Must be based in Mountain, Central, or Eastern US time zones
  • Must provide documentation of legal eligibility to work in the United States for an extended period
