About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead CDW's Data & AI Solution Sales team within the Solution Sales organisation
- Set and manage standards, directional plans, and continuous improvement for business, team, and personal growth
- Define the Data & AI strategy and go-to-market alongside the Office of the CTO and key AI stakeholders
- Drive revenue and gross profit targets across modern data platforms, data engineering and integration, governance and quality, analytics, and applied AI
- Establish CDW as the UK's credible partner for making customer data AI-ready
- Build, lead, and develop the Data & AI Centre of Excellence
- Create and execute a business plan aligned with CDW's strategy and profitable outcomes
- Own and evolve the data readiness proposition, including assessment, discovery, remediation, and transformation programmes
- Engage with sales leadership, sellers, and the wider business across pre-sales through delivery
- Develop market insights and competitive intelligence
- Manage senior relationships with Microsoft and other strategic Data & AI vendors
- Maximise partner funding, co-sell programmes, competency attainment, and joint go-to-market
- Host and participate in internal, customer, and partner events as a UK thought leader
- Collaborate with Modern Workspace, Security, and Hybrid Platforms business units
- Ensure sold outcomes are deliverable, repeatable, supportable, and deliver customer value beyond the initial sale
- Establish governance, guardrails, and internal standards for responsible AI sales
- Lead, motivate, mentor, coach, and develop direct and indirect reports
- Manage financial forecasting, cost centers, staffing, recruitment, and performance management
- Conduct monthly 121 meetings and support coworker development
- Build relationships with departmental leads, including US and Canadian peers
- Act as a senior escalation point for business-critical events
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven successful experience in the Information Technology market
- Demonstrable leadership experience and track record of developing teams and individuals
- Experience building, leading, or scaling a data, analytics, or AI business, practice, or sales team
- Experience ideally within a reseller, systems integrator, or consultancy environment
- Proven C-level interaction, engagement, and relationship management
- Track record of driving revenue and profit growth, managing cost, and attracting, retaining, and developing talent
- Strong understanding and experience of the procurement lifecycle, including negotiation, contracting, and third-party management
- Commercial fluency across consumption, licensing, annuity, and services-based models
- Ability to build multi-year value cases for data modernisation and AI programmes
- Experience building internal departmental brand and engaging with multiple internal business units
- Core technical breadth across modern data platform and lakehouse architectures, data engineering and integration, data governance, cataloguing, lineage and quality, analytics and BI, and applied AI
- Understanding of what makes a data estate AI-ready
- Working knowledge of the UK data and AI regulatory landscape, including UK GDPR, the Data (Use and Access) Act, ICO expectations, data residency and sovereignty, sector requirements, ISO/IEC 42001, and the EU AI Act where applicable
- Knowledge of UK routes to market and public sector procurement frameworks
- Experience of senior vendor and partner management, ideally including Microsoft
- Professional certifications are desirable, including Sales, Business Administration, Leadership & Management, and vendor certifications in data or AI
