About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide physical security for CDW’s National Distribution Center
Maintain a high-visibility presence and protect facility, assets, personnel, property, and staff
Perform security and visitor reception duties during business hours
Search individuals entering and exiting operational areas
Observe and report suspicious activities
Assess theft risk and provide feedback to leadership
Book delivery vehicles in and out
Liaise with NDC teams regarding collections and deliveries
Perform out-of-hours control room duties
Monitor and investigate CCTV
Monitor alarm, access, and detection systems
Conduct regular external patrols of the NDC
Maintain security documentation and logs
Follow security procedures
Liaise with keyholders and monitoring providers
Manage security, fire, and facilities incidents
Provide feedback to onsite leadership about security and facilities
Conduct visitor ID checks
Administer first aid where required
Liaise with police when necessary

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience in a customer-facing reception/security role
Gatehouse duties experience
Experience working various shift patterns
Lone working experience
Knowledge of various security setups
CCTV monitoring and investigation experience
SIA licensed
SC cleared
Experience maintaining various logs
Computer/IT literacy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong time management skills
Ability to multitask and follow complex instructions
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to cover additional shifts where required
Subject to DBS criminal records check, BPSS baseline personnel security standard, and NSV national security vetting
