About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Research US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations to resolve and document complex technical accounting and reporting issues
- Review and document material revenue contracts to ensure revenue recognition complies with ASC 606
- Analyze and summarize accounting positions and financial data for key stakeholders
- Prepare and file Forms 10-Q and 10-K with the SEC, including consolidated financial statements, footnote disclosures, MD&A, and other filing sections
- Partner with Investor Relations on public-release materials, including earnings releases, dividend releases, Form 8-Ks, investor presentations, and earnings release scripts
- Prepare monthly internal reporting materials, including financial statements, earnings per share calculations, CECL analysis, and other internal analyses
- Collaborate with Investor Relations, Treasury, Legal, Financial Systems, FP&A, Sales and Margin Accounting, and Corporate Accounting
- Assist with purchase accounting for business combinations in accordance with ASC 805
- Monitor and document FASB projects, accounting standard updates, and SEC rules; determine impacts and inform finance leadership
- Update the global finance instruction manual documenting accounting and reporting policies and procedures
- Assist with implementation of new US GAAP accounting standards and SEC reporting rules
- Support external auditors during quarterly reviews and the annual audit
- Maintain compliance with internal control procedures and prepare supporting documentation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of public/industry accounting experience
- Active CPA license (required)
- Proficient knowledge of US GAAP, with emphasis on ASC 606
- Proficient knowledge of SEC rules and requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with strong experience in Excel
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
- Experience implementing improvements that drive efficiency and quality
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs while meeting deadlines
- Resilience, curiosity, willingness to learn new concepts, and ability to apply learnings in new situations
- Experience in Workiva, Hyperion Financial Management, and Workday is a plus
