About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maximize the productivity of Federal Enterprise Sales Teams by partnering with and supporting Field Sales coworkers
- Prepare and distribute product configurations and customer quotes using online tools
- Process product orders accurately and promptly through SPS and AS400 systems
- Interact directly with customers regarding order status, quotes, and other requests
- Ensure government requirements are followed, including DPAS ratings, due dates, and contract requirements
- Ensure proper quote-to-order conversion for Federal customers
- Collaborate with Federal Services and Project Management teams on large projects
- Manage orders for rollouts
- Handle return merchandise authorizations
- Coordinate hardware scheduling with services
- Provide consistent customer status updates
- Train and mentor new and existing coworkers
- Manage contract vehicles for specified customers
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of relevant products, contracts, and Federal requirements
- Build customer relationships and provide coverage when sales teams travel or are out of office
- Proactively provide clients with pertinent business-impacting information
- Develop effective working relationships with internal departments
- Provide an extraordinary customer experience with a high sense of urgency
Requirements
What you’ll need- Technology industry experience or 2+ years of non-retail sales experience
- 3–5 years’ experience as a CDW ISR or Senior/Executive Account Manager
- Excellent communication skills
- Detail-oriented and effective interpersonal skills
- Energetic and enthusiastic approach
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, SPS, and AS400
- Ability to multitask
- Confidence with customer interactions
- Prior experience selling computer hardware, software, solutions, or services
- 3+ years of work experience within the Federal Sales segment
- Working knowledge of internal CDW systems (AS400/SPS)
- Ability and willingness to train or mentor coworkers
- Proven ability to complete special projects successfully
- Deep knowledge of products, configurations, requirements, and programs specific to the Federal Government
- Ability to independently deliver quality work and achieve high customer satisfaction
- Professional, mature, team-oriented attitude
- Readiness to explore, adapt to, and learn evolving technology and AI tools
