About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage planning, philosophy, design, regulatory compliance, communication, policy development, evaluation, and administration of CDW compensation programs
- Manage long- and short-term incentives, variable, executive, sales, and broad-based compensation
- Serve the internal CWS team and senior management on compensation administration and design
- Develop, implement, and manage strategic compensation programs aligned with organizational objectives and cost effectiveness
- Supervise changes in methods and procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency
- Lead complex and multi-stage compensation projects
- Oversee compensation and performance management programs for internal equity, external competitiveness, and regulatory compliance
- Establish and supervise an integrated sales incentive platform across CDW business units
- Own global merit planning and review, including strategy, budgeting, governance, communications, system administration, and execution
- Participate in internal compensation committee meetings
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to executives, managers, and the Coworker Services team
- Build relationships across business units
- Coordinate with CWS BP, Finance, Sales, and other stakeholders on salary planning, budgets, pay structures, and compensation
- Manage direct reports through coaching, development, and performance management
- Oversee salary surveys and merit or incentive plans
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree and 7+ years’ experience in compensation and/or financial analysis OR 11+ years’ experience in compensation and/or financial analysis
- 3 years' management experience
- Demonstrated leadership track record of enhancing and facilitating a best-in-class team
- Working knowledge of management compensation, variable compensation systems, equity-related systems, retention systems, mid-term incentive systems, and fixed compensation systems
- History of partnering with the board of directors, compensation committee, executive committee, and outside resources
- Experience in a mid- to large-sized company with multiple business units and geographies
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results and implement processes, best practices, and operational change initiatives
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills
- Advanced mathematical skills, financial knowledge, Excel skills, and spreadsheet analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with executives, senior leadership, and the Board of Directors
- Strong coaching, conflict resolution, influencing abilities, and customer service orientation
- Demonstrated ability to build productive cross-functional and external stakeholder relationships
- Ability to balance competing priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and meet deadlines
- Management-level, corporate compensation, and strategic consulting experience is a plus
- Global compensation experience is a plus
- Comfortable exploring how AI can enhance strategy, decision-making, and team performance
- Must be able to work in the United States based on the specified Illinois locations
