Key responsibilities & impact
  • Independently manage strategic, high-complexity technology projects from initiation through closure
  • Manage projects spanning solution areas, service areas, workstreams, technologies, and third-party providers
  • Ensure client business, technical, contractual, and operational requirements are understood and met
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, margins, profitability, invoices, expenses, and financial records
  • Validate scope, assumptions, estimates, deliverables, acceptance criteria, and change-control actions
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, assumptions, constraints, dependencies, mitigation plans, and contingencies
  • Plan resources, resolve scheduling conflicts, and maintain integrated project schedules
  • Manage external resources, contracts, equipment, software, licensing, procurement, and delivery schedules
  • Ensure contractual performance requirements, deliverables, milestones, due dates, and policies are met
  • Manage projects under government contract vehicles and diverse contract types
  • Document project outcomes and lessons learned
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to project team members
  • Build stakeholder relationships and resolve difficult client or project-team situations
  • Improve project management standards, templates, tools, best practices, and training materials
  • Own project communication plans, status reports, financial reporting, quality plans, risk reporting, decision logs, and closure documentation
  • Communicate project updates and complex information to clients, executives, sales, delivery teams, and stakeholders
  • Lead meetings, facilitate decisions, document outcomes, assign action items, and distribute follow-up communications
  • Develop presentations, executive talking points, decision materials, and strategic project messaging
  • Manage stakeholders and negotiate project changes involving cost, scope, schedule, and effort

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Six or more years of experience delivering technology through structured Project Management methodologies such as waterfall or agile
  • Three or more years of experience leading significant technology projects involving mainstream, emerging, or customized technology solutions
  • Demonstrated success leading complex projects for enterprise, strategic, or government customers
  • Ability to work weekends or outside standard business hours when necessary
  • Ability to travel an average of 25%
  • Demonstrated success managing complex technology projects involving multiple technologies, solution areas, stakeholders, or third-party vendors
  • Experience managing projects in support of government customers, contracts, or programs
  • Experience managing Firm Fixed Price, Time and Materials, Cost Plus, or As-a-Service arrangements
  • Demonstrated ability to manage financial performance and lead teams to project success
  • Working knowledge of formal project management methodologies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, and related project management tools
  • Strong business and technical acumen, sound judgment, political awareness, perseverance, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to analyze information across multiple project workstreams, impacts, and dependencies
  • Ability to organize and prioritize competing responsibilities
  • PMP certification required
  • CSM certification preferred
  • Active DoD Secret clearance strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with government contracts, acquisition processes, government programs, FISMA, and FedRAMP preferred or a plus
