About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as primary technical owner and point-of-contact for the internal ServiceNow instance
  • Act as the face and technical lead for the ServiceNow support team to CDW, CDW customers, and the ServiceNow support team
  • Provide guidance and consulting on issues and solutions within the ServiceNow platform
  • Represent the platform to the governance team from a technical perspective
  • Perform scoping, discovery, system design, technical leadership, development, code review, and testing
  • Lead technical consultants and developers in delivering services in compliance with CDW governance, service-level agreements, and industry best practices
  • Serve as primary technical point-of-contact for internal support work and face of the development team to CDW
  • Ensure quality of technical team work, escalate stakeholder concerns, and implement process efficiencies
  • Define technical solutions aligned with CDW business cases and ServiceNow Implementation Best Practices
  • Translate process owner requirements into technical solutions and communicate and deliver them to stakeholders
  • Write and estimate user stories, monitor developers’ work, and own development quality and delivery
  • Lead technical integration onboarding efforts with new clients
  • Ensure quality of solutions, development artifacts, documentation, and knowledge transfer
  • Mentor developers and technical consultants on technical design standards and best practices
  • Maintain and build proficient knowledge of the ServiceNow platform and products
  • Research and evaluate technology partners or vendor solutions
  • Contribute to continual improvement of Delivery Services processes and portfolios

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 5 years of Information Technology Engineering experience; OR 9 years of Information Technology Engineering experience
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and consult, providing options with pros, cons and risks, while aiding in solving business processes and/or technical problems
  • Experience scripting in the ServiceNow platform using JavaScript, including Business Rules, client scripts, UI actions, UI pages, AngularJS, and Jelly
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience leading technical teams
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
  • Fundamental understanding of SSO, SAML, SSL, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, REST, SCP, and FTPS
  • Proven history of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously and adapting to changing business needs while meeting deadlines
  • Flexibility to work evening and weekend hours as necessary
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including relaying technical information to non-technical audiences and interacting with senior leadership
  • Highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Knowledge of ITIL
  • Solid process documentation skills
  • Experience with web services integrations
  • Minimum of two additional CIS Certifications should be current or achieved within 1 year of hire, a plus
  • ITIL Foundations Certification, a plus
