About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead strategic projects initiated by the SLT and approved by the Director of Portfolio Management
  • Lead the overall project delivery process and provide leadership, administration, decision-support, and facilitation for strategic technology projects
  • Support planning and execution of portfolio initiatives with departments and partnered stakeholders
  • Ensure consistent development, execution, and reporting in line with department SOPs and best practices
  • Track delivery of Agile objectives and communicate in-process status to the portfolio team
  • Enforce governance policies and materials to support stakeholder consolidation
  • Track portfolio metrics and KPIs, including team performance, budget spending, and benefit realization
  • Manage internal customer engagement to align expectations with results delivery
  • Manage risk registers for strategic programs and Agile release trains; track and mitigate risks with the portfolio team
  • Coordinate and complete roadmaps for aligned functional and product teams
  • Enhance the Release Train Engineer function to improve program performance across business value streams
  • Develop and support stakeholder communication processes for project-level status and business expectation management
  • Monitor project progress and quality, manage issue resolution, and take corrective action as needed
  • Monitor financial delivery and issue management, escalating budget issues and variances when necessary

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 7+ years of technical project / program management with marketing, supply chain, sales or finance experience, OR 11+ years total Information Technology experience, to include 7+ years of technical project / program management with marketing, supply chain, sales or finance experience
  • History of implementing or enhancing SaaS solutions for a Professional Services business
  • Highly skilled in developing, publishing, and presenting executive level slide decks and reports; expert knowledge required
  • Strong strategic and executional leadership
  • Ability to balance competing priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize across a wide range of efforts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • History of building and maintaining productive working relationships
  • Strong conflict resolution skills; ability to be persuasive and hold partners and coworkers accountable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to attract, build, and mentor a talent pool that builds bench strength and supports succession planning
  • Experience with Certinia for Professional Services, ServiceNow for project management, SAFe (Scaled Agile for Enterprise), Business-to-Business marketplace, and the technology industry is a plus
  • Master’s degree in a related field is a plus
  • Certification or progress toward certification is a plus
