About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, drive, and develop CDW’s Configuration Services technical capabilities
- Identify opportunities for new and improved services and delivery techniques
- Provide technical leadership for CDW UK&I Configuration Services and collaborate with US Configuration teams, Solutions Sales, sales teams, and sales enablement
- Support an excellent onboarding experience for sellers and customers
- Identify new technologies and create packaged and bespoke configuration services
- Lead the configuration team’s technical approach, research, and development
- Establish and maintain documented processes and service descriptions
- Drive automation using scripting, AI, RPA, and other technologies
- Attach Configuration Services to sales and drive technical engagements and pre-staging opportunities
- Promote the Configuration department across the wider business
- Collaborate with technical teams to plan delivery approaches and solve problems
- Support recruitment, training, performance, development, and promotion of the technical delivery team
- Work with Corporate Technology teams to ensure networks, infrastructure, systems, and tools meet service demands
- Translate customer requirements into documented work packages
- Support creation of Statements of Work
- Identify emerging technology, services, and vendor changes
- Support productisation of Configuration Services and maintain appropriate frameworks
- Ensure configuration services and delivery teams remain security-focused
- Champion responsible AI adoption and continuous learning as a leader
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong background knowledge of networking, security, and cloud computing
- Significant experience in configuration and testing of IT products and solutions, preferably in an IT reseller environment
- Strong people management experience
- Proven track record of delivering change and driving technical efforts to benefit customers
- Extensive experience with agile delivery techniques and methodologies
- Experience leading through change and driving excellence through motivating and engaging teams
- Experience using performance management tools and procedures
- Experience producing and analysing performance KPIs
- Experience working to challenging deadlines
- CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or proven experience at the required level
- Knowledge of languages such as C# and PowerShell
- ITIL v4 Foundation or above
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal English skills
- Competence in SCCM, Autopilot, networking, servers, storage, and print technologies
- Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
- Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities
