About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Facilitate and provide technical training, including assessment, preparation, delivery, and evaluation
  • Contribute as a subject matter expert on projects
  • Maintain relationships with business partners, Enterprise Information Services, leadership, system users, and vendors
  • Develop training curricula using detailed knowledge of the CS-Link/Epic electronic health record
  • Analyze workflows, application dependencies, and user proficiencies to determine learning objectives
  • Design and maintain role-based training materials and scenarios across CS-Link/Epic modules and other applications
  • Translate complex technical functionality and workflows into understandable steps
  • Validate information incorporated into curricula
  • Design assessments and use feedback to improve training
  • Monitor and adjust training delivery to maximize knowledge transfer and retention
  • Plan, develop, build, and maintain patient scenarios in the training environment
  • Assist with training environment testing
  • Apply project management principles to create project tasks, estimates, and assignments
  • Act as an EIS contact for functionality inquiries related to implementations and upgrades
  • Build, maintain, and update process and procedure documentation for Epic training curricula, authoring tools, and application standards
  • Stay informed about new technologies and pursue personal growth

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, healthcare, health science, public health, education/training, or another related field preferred
  • Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) preferred
  • EPIC certification in Admission, Discharge, Transfer (ADT), Hospital Billing (HB) Resolute and/or Physician Billing (PB) Resolute preferred
  • Epic HB Resolute experience highly preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory, training, or instructional position required
  • At least 3 years of experience with a revenue cycle application related to Patient Services, Patient Revenue Management, Hospital Billing, and Patient Revenue Management
  • Extensive hospital billing (HB) experience highly preferred
  • Must currently live in the Los Angeles area or be willing to relocate for onsite requirements
