About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain accurate employee data within the HRIS, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with company policy
  • Manage employee lifecycle processes, including new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations, within HR systems
  • Administer US benefits programs, including open enrollment, new hire enrollments, qualifying life events, and terminations
  • Reconcile benefits data between the HRIS and insurance carriers/vendors
  • Leverage AI tools to streamline HR operations, improve reporting, and enhance employee self-service
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual HR processes and drive operational efficiency
  • Generate, audit, and analyze HR reports and dashboards
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR data, benefits, and system access
  • Partner with Payroll, Benefits, IT, and People teams to resolve data discrepancies and improve cross-functional processes
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including ACA, ERISA, FMLA, and COBRA
  • Develop and maintain documentation of HR operational procedures and best practices
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience maintaining HR data in an HRIS platform
  • Hands-on experience with a US benefits module (e.g., Workday Benefits, ADP, SuccessFactors, UKG, or similar)
  • Practical experience using AI tools in an HR or operational context (e.g., ChatGPT/Claude for HR workflows, AI-powered HRIS features, automation tools)
  • Strong understanding of US benefits administration (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, COBRA)
  • High attention to detail and strong data accuracy skills
  • Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) for data auditing and reporting
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Familiarity with HR compliance regulations (ACA, ERISA, FMLA) preferred
  • Familiarity with HiBob (bob) HRIS platform is a strong advantage
  • Experience with HRIS report writing or dashboard tools
  • Prior experience supporting open enrollment cycles
  • PHR/SHRM-CP certification a plus
