About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist in ensuring financial statement integrity and operational excellence during the reporting close process
  • Liaise and collaborate across all business units and functions to ensure accuracy of assigned processes
  • Support the month-end close process, including journal entry review and approval and monthly account reconciliations
  • Review quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with GAAP, including footnotes and supporting schedules
  • Assist with coordinating external auditors to ensure timely completion of the annual audit
  • Ensure compliance with procedures observing SOX requirements
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors on SOX testing and resolve and remediate identified issues
  • Maintain timely and accurate account reconciliations
  • Identify strategy inefficiencies and reduce costs across the business
  • Assist with migration and integration of financial systems platforms and applications
  • Conduct regular reviews of accounting processes to identify improvement opportunities
  • Perform special projects and financial analysis to support company growth

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4 year degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Big 4 accounting firm experience preferred
  • Critical thinking capacity, with the ability to think high-level yet execute at the detail level
  • Minimum 6+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a SOX environment
  • Strong sense of ownership and curiosity to learn new skills
  • Results-driven individual with a team-oriented mindset
  • CPA preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills, including ability to summarize complex issues succinctly for a wide range of constituents
