About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the commercial execution strategy and business performance across an assigned region
  • Partner with the Regional VP/GM to develop and execute the region's commercial strategy
  • Translate national initiatives into regional execution plans
  • Lead commercial planning to achieve revenue, volume, profitability, and market share objectives
  • Identify growth opportunities across channels, customers, and distributors
  • Ensure execution of company priorities and annual operating plans
  • Drive accountability for regional business performance
  • Monitor and improve sales growth, distribution gains, velocity, market share, promotional effectiveness, execution KPIs, customer profitability, and budget adherence
  • Use data and insights to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and implement corrective actions
  • Drive execution excellence across all markets and ensure consistent retail standards
  • Improve display execution and promotional compliance
  • Monitor distributor execution and lead performance reviews
  • Establish operational best practices and drive continuous process improvement
  • Partner with distributor leadership and key regional customers to improve execution, maximize distribution, resolve challenges, execute promotions, improve retail visibility, and strengthen partnerships
  • Connect regional execution with corporate functions including Sales, Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Commercial Strategy, Business Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Revenue Growth Management, and Category Management
  • Manage the regional commercial budget, trade investments, regional marketing funds, operational expenses, headcount planning, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Drive investment decisions that maximize return on investment
  • Support Annual Operating Plan, Quarterly Business Reviews, market planning, forecasting, territory optimization, resource allocation, and commercial capability development
  • Develop future leaders, make data-driven decisions, foster a high-performance culture, lead change, and continuously improve commercial processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience within the CPG, beverage, food, or consumer goods industry
  • Multi-unit or regional sales leadership experience
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Distributor management experience
  • Experience developing high-performing teams
  • Strong understanding of retail execution and field sales operations
  • Any major US city in the country, based near a major airport
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License required
  • Must pass an MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) screening
