About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete a 12-month Talent Development Program in Cemex USA’s Cement division
  • Rotate through Cement Manufacturing, Process Improvements, Quality and Reliability, Equipment Maintenance, Production Process, and Data Management
  • Participate in project-based learning and collaborate with colleagues across Aggregates, Cement, Ready-Mix/Concrete, and Supply Chain business lines
  • Receive training in safety protocols and help ensure safety standards are met or exceeded
  • Contribute to real projects during rotations
  • Develop technical, transferable, leadership, and problem-solving skills through hands-on work, training, and mentorship
  • Build relationships with peers, mentors, and leaders across Cemex
  • Contribute innovative ideas and continuous-improvement initiatives in Cement operations
  • Work in a combination of office and field environments with potential travel

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Recent bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic/Manufacturing Engineering, Mining/Materials Science Engineering or a related field
  • GPA of 2.5 or above; GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
  • Leadership qualities and proactive approach to learning and problem-solving
  • Analytical and presentation skills
  • Up to 2 years of relevant experience in the heavy or manufacturing industry preferred, including placements, co-op programs, internships, or university projects
  • Willingness to relocate within the U.S. if needed
  • Full-time availability
  • Willingness to travel based on rotation requirements
  • Ability to work in office and fieldwork environments, including outdoor industrial operations settings
