About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Image, deploy, and support endpoint devices including laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals for a single site or team priority
- Follow documented troubleshooting steps and standard practices to resolve routine local site technology issues, including meeting room technology and local printing
- Work within established IT asset management procedures for hardware deployments, receiving direction and review from senior team members
- Configure devices within defined parameters and seek supervision for ambiguous technical work
- Communicate progress on hardware rollouts, questions, and observations within the End-User Support team
- Escalate unclear deployment requirements and hardware risks early
- Identify straightforward improvements to local site tasks, such as desk setup efficiency
- Support scheduled team phone queue coverage
- Participate in the team on-call support rotation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field required, or equivalent experience required
- Less than 2 years of experience in technical support, desktop support, IT asset coordination, or a related field required
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+), or equivalent certification preferred
- Knowledge and prior working experience with Microsoft and Mac OS highly desired
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge and prior working experience with ServiceNow ticketing system desired
- Ability to work on-site and travel as needed (10%-15%) to other local Distribution Centers for End-User Support projects
- Beginning to moderate expertise in endpoint hardware lifecycle and basic operating system deployment
- Early/starting expertise in an adjacent/new technical domain such as mobile device management may be demonstrated depending on role and experience
- Ability to participate in team on-call support rotation (2 weeks/year)
- Ability to physically handle and set up IT equipment at local sites as needed
- Strong communication and customer service skills
