About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, and maintain front-end and back-end components of web applications
  • Build and consume RESTful and GraphQL APIs integrating internal and external data sources
  • Write clean, tested, maintainable code following team standards
  • Debug and resolve issues across the application stack
  • Build and optimize data pipelines and notebooks in Databricks using Python, PySpark, and SQL
  • Support ETL/ELT processes to move and transform data across environments
  • Perform data analysis to support product, engineering, and business decisions
  • Build LLM-powered application features using prompt engineering and production-oriented model behavior management
  • Integrate RAG pipelines and vector search components into application layers
  • Leverage AI coding assistants for development, testing, and code review while validating generated code
  • Analyze application telemetry, load times, bundle sizes, and query execution plans to identify bottlenecks
  • Translate product KPIs and user metrics into technical tracking requirements
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
  • Participate in release management, environment configuration, and deployment automation
  • Monitor application and pipeline health and troubleshoot build/deployment failures
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and clarify data/reporting needs
  • Translate business questions into technical specifications, data models, or dashboard requirements
  • Present findings, dashboards, or technical updates to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers in sprint planning and reviews
  • Participate in code reviews and uphold engineering best practices
  • Write and maintain technical documentation, including data dictionaries, pipeline documentation, and runbooks
  • Mentor junior engineers on specific tasks as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, systems engineering, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience required
  • 2+ years of professional experience in full stack software development
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks, including Spark, notebooks, and Delta Lake
  • Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD, version control, and work item tracking
  • Experience with Azure cloud services, including Data Factory, Synapse, Functions, and App Services
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
  • Frontend experience with React, Angular, or Vue
  • Backend experience with Node.js, Python, Java, or .NET
  • Ability to communicate with non-technical stakeholders and gather requirements
  • Experience with Git-based version control and Agile/Scrum workflows
  • Ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries, including joins, aggregations, indexing, and subqueries
  • Understanding of database schemas, normalization, and basic data modeling
  • Ability to handle data transformation logic between databases, backend APIs, and front-end states
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and basic integration concepts
  • Experience using version control systems, testing frameworks, and Agile development practices
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle concepts, debugging, and quality code practices
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
