About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work onsite at Methodist Community Pharmacy - Dallas inside Methodist Dallas Medical Center
- Provide outpatient prescriptions to hospital patients, medications to employees, walk-in patients, and others
- Handle pharmacy clerk duties in a retail pharmacy environment
- Work rotating weekday shifts during open hours
- Work Saturday shifts as scheduled
- Complete onboarding and training for Cencora and Methodist Health System
- Learn pharmacy terminology and new pharmacy-related skills
Requirements
What you’ll need- Pharmacy technician license is NOT required (a plus if you have a tech in training license)
- Retail knowledge preferred, but not required
- Cash handling
- Multitasking ability
- Ability to learn new skills and pharmacy terminology
- Computer learning skills
- Organizational skills
- Onboarding and training must be completed for Cencora and Methodist Health System
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required
- 2+ years of experience in pharmacy support, dispensing support, medication handling, healthcare operations, prescription processing, customer service, or a related field required
- Certification in registration, authorization, or a role-relevant credential for pharmacy activities, or equivalent preferred
