About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and execute a comprehensive network strategy for cloud-based and on-premises environments
Collaborate with IT leadership to support enterprise application performance and availability
Drive innovation through industry trends and emerging network technologies
Oversee network infrastructure design and management across Azure and data centers
Ensure high availability, scalability, and security for critical business applications
Optimize network operations through monitoring, automation, and proactive issue resolution
Lead network integration during mergers and acquisitions
Develop integration plans to ensure seamless connectivity and minimal business disruption
Establish network policies, procedures, and standards for compliance and security
Monitor and report network performance metrics and drive continuous improvement
Oversee vendor relationships and negotiate contracts
Participate in IT budget development and track spending
Measure service performance and implement improvements
Direct technologies and processes that improve customer and supplier operations and profitability
Participate in service-level agreement development and ensure internal SLAs are met
Lead, mentor, and develop network engineers and architects
Foster relationships with security, application development, and infrastructure teams
Promote employee engagement, professional development, and succession planning
Develop communication, process, and education plans to mitigate change disruption
Identify and remove obstacles to change

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or another related field
Typically 10 or more years of IT and business/industry work experience, with knowledge of one process/service
Experience managing teams and building relationships with people at a variety of levels
Demonstrated ability to launch and deliver one or more IT projects on time and within budget
Ability to formulate and execute business strategies to exceed operational expectations and enhance customer experience
Deep understanding of business strategy and ability to translate strategy into system and technology solutions
Hands-on experience working in large-scale environments and tweaking business processes to support growth and productivity
Ability to lead change, take calculated risks, and seek continuous improvement
Experience building a successful organization and delivering results via improved customer satisfaction, lower production costs, and high employee engagement
Effective oral and written communication skills
Strong presentation skills
Ability to establish relationships with vendors and negotiate and manage outside vendors against deliverables
Solid project management skills, including deploying resources and managing multiple projects of diverse scopes in a cross-functional environment
