About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Fix most bugs and issues across familiar and unfamiliar codebases
Architect and build incremental additions independently
Contribute to larger solutions with guidance from an architect
Diagnose and resolve complex coding issues, including race conditions, cross-threading, and intermittent data problems
Take accountability for quality delivery, software maintenance, performance, and scalability
Champion best practice in AI-augmented development
Help shape the use of AI-assisted engineering tools across the team
Work with business stakeholders to design solutions for the Pharmaceutical TMF space
Adopt a security-first approach and produce secure, maintainable software
Support third-line investigations
Partner with the Lead Software Engineer to help shape the new Poland engineering team

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of software development experience
Strong experience with Microsoft .NET / C# and Visual Studio
Experience with SQL Server, Azure SQL, or MySQL
Strong knowledge of SOLID principles, dependency injection, unit testing, and REST web services
Experience with React, Angular, or other modern UI frameworks
Exposure to Azure or other cloud PaaS services, containerisation, and distributed scalable solutions
Experience evaluating and adopting AI-assisted development tools in a security-conscious, regulated engineering environment
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred knowledge of GCP and/or TMF is helpful, but not essential
