About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build trust and influence with customers while maintaining customer relationships
  • Perform preventative maintenance, onsite and remote service, and support for Micro Weigh Systems and other technologies
  • Optimize customer benefits from systems and solutions
  • Troubleshoot and solve problems
  • Install parts and perform electrical work, plumbing, welding, and fabrication
  • Transport and deliver equipment to customer sites
  • Maintain, modify, and adjust feed additive and ration/diet dosages through Micro Weigh System software based on nutritionist or veterinarian specifications
  • Perform standard operational tests under protocol guidelines using standardized checklists
  • Maintain and update FDA files for customers
  • Train customers on FDA files, equipment operation, inventory control procedures, FDA guidelines, new products, and programs
  • Provide continual education to customer management teams
  • Cover emergency service calls and participate in holiday and weekend coverage rotation
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring, plumbing, welding and fabrication is required
  • Experience with use of power tools and volt meters
  • Ability to read electrical diagrams, set up computer programs, and follow instructions
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and basic knowledge of computer-based software
  • Must be able to read and understand English
  • Good customer service skills and a sense of urgency
  • Driver’s License and acceptable driving record is required
  • Must be able to obtain a health card
  • Must be able to lift 100 lbs
  • Must be okay with 25% overnight travel and 75% general daily travel within the assigned territory
  • Overnight travel is required
  • Must cover emergency service calls and participate in holiday and weekend coverage rotation
  • Must be within 50 miles of Williamston, Michigan
  • Ability to perform electrical work, plumbing, welding, fabrication, troubleshooting, installation, and equipment transport
