About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop compelling, engaging, and educational visual content for online courses
Convert manuscripts into online-friendly formats
Ensure courses follow style guidelines, work across browsers and mobile devices, and are accessible and tailored to target audiences
Design and create illustrations, interactive elements, games, videos, scripts, storyboards, and audio
Own technical aspects of content design, programming, and delivery
Apply HTML/CSS formatting to classroom content, including lessons, assignments, and exams
Use basic JavaScript for functionality and interactivity
Implement multimedia design elements and external assets in the proprietary learning management system
Collaborate with Learning Designers, Subject Matter Experts, development teams, and content development vendors
Participate in team meetings and communicate design rationale
Oversee and train content development vendors
Manage projects, resources, dependencies, deadlines, budgets, and quality
Use data, research, and insights to improve processes, tools, and customer outcomes
Analyze end-user feedback and recommend course design enhancements
Stay current with online education and AI trends and leverage AI for product and process improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need

Ability to synthesize complex information into simple, user-friendly visuals that support learning
Experience designing multimedia elements, including illustrations, interactive elements, and games
Ability to develop video from concept to completion using traditional methods and AI services
Ability to craft video scripts and storyboards
Ability to create reusable, accessible, and cross-platform multimedia components
Ability to generate audio using AI text-to-speech services
HTML/CSS knowledge and experience converting manuscripts into HTML/CSS format
Basic JavaScript knowledge for functionality and interactivity
Experience implementing multimedia design elements and external assets in a learning management system
Ability to work with Learning Designers and Subject Matter Experts
Ability to train content development vendors on processes, design guidelines, and tools
Ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
Ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
Ability to analyze end-user feedback and assess student needs
Interest in emerging trends in online education and AI
