About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the key operational engine of the People team and right hand to the SVP, People Operations
- Own day-to-day HR operations for the Corporate population
- Translate People strategy into daily HR execution
- Act as first escalation point for complex employee relations, manager friction, and organizational risks
- Provide rapid-response guidance, pulse checks, and data-backed workforce insights to the SVP
- Direct, mentor, and develop the HR Partner team
- Oversee Corporate Talent Acquisition operations, including candidate pipelines, recruiter capacity, and offer decisions
- Unblock hiring bottlenecks and assist with critical senior talent searches
- Coach Directors and Sr. Directors on accountability, communication, policy application, and difficult conversations
- Lead employee relations matters, workplace investigations, and disciplinary actions
- Partner with Legal and senior HR leadership on high-risk matters and employment law compliance
- Identify employee-relations trends and address root causes
- Drive headcount tracking and governance with Finance and business leaders
- Evaluate headcount requests and secure approvals before recruiting begins
- Guide team restructures, reporting changes, position realignments, and offboarding
- Partner with Payroll, Benefits, Leave Administration, HRIS, Analytics, and Legal on workforce changes
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of progressive HR experience
- Strong experience with complex employee relations, manager coaching, and day-to-day HR operations
- Experience serving as a trusted operational partner to senior HR leadership
- Prior experience managing, mentoring, and developing HR team members
- Experience in talent acquisition or recruiting oversight
- Experience managing and tracking headcount alongside Finance and department leads
- Solid foundation in employment law, workplace investigations, and corrective action best practices
- Strong communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stay agile, decisive, and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced environment
- Experience supporting a technology or high-growth company is a strong plus
- Willingness to work in the Playa Vista, California office every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
- Must address United States work sponsorship requirements in the application
