About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own talent acquisition end to end as Cents’ first dedicated recruiter
  • Run full-cycle searches across engineering, product, sales, customer success, and G&A, including senior and leadership roles
  • Define and implement the hiring process from intake through offer
  • Design structured interview loops, scorecards, and debrief processes
  • Set up and own the ATS, job templates, sourcing channels, scheduling, and hiring metrics
  • Build repeatable hiring playbooks, interview guides, reference processes, offer processes, and candidate experience
  • Run kickoff and intake sessions with hiring managers
  • Train interviewers on structured interviewing, bias avoidance, and effective feedback
  • Facilitate pre-briefs and debriefs, drive decisions, and coach stakeholders through difficult hiring decisions
  • Build partnerships with executives and hiring managers
  • Use market data and pipeline evidence to advise on profiles, ownership, and hiring pace
  • Own candidate experience from initial contact through first day
  • Partner with the VP of People and CFO on workforce planning, compensation benchmarking, and connections between hiring, onboarding, and performance
  • Source proactively through outbound, referrals, and community
  • Screen, schedule, close candidates, run compensation conversations, manage offers, and negotiate
  • Communicate Cents’ mission of modernizing the laundry and dry cleaning industry to candidates
  • Build AI-powered recruiting workflows for sourcing, outreach, scheduling, and interview-note synthesis
  • Select, implement, and teach the team to use recruiting tools and own the recruiting stack

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience
  • Experience in-house at a high-growth startup, ideally Series A through C
  • Experience hiring across multiple functions
  • Experience building or rebuilding a hiring process, interview framework, or ATS from scratch
  • Ability to influence senior leaders using evidence and relationships
  • Strong proactive sourcing skills
  • Comfort with recruiting funnel data and explaining metrics to a CFO
  • Strong ownership and ability to operate amid ambiguity
  • Clear, warm communication with candidates and colleagues
  • Nice to have: experience recruiting for vertical SaaS, SMB-focused software, or sales-heavy organizations
  • Nice to have: hands-on experience with Ashby, Greenhouse, Lever, and LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Nice to have: exposure to People operations such as onboarding, compensation, or performance
