About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review product requirements, design specifications, and technical documentation
  • Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts
  • Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium, Postman, Jenkins, and similar tools
  • Define functional, reliability, accuracy, performance, and standards-based testing parameters
  • Conduct manual and exploratory testing on software applications, web interfaces, and related technical products
  • Validate new features, enhancements, and bug fixes before release
  • Perform regression testing
  • Identify, reproduce, document, and track defects with reproduction steps and evidence
  • Verify defect fixes against acceptance criteria
  • Communicate defects, risks, and quality concerns to development and product teams
  • Collaborate with developers to understand root causes and recommend corrective actions
  • Participate in design and review meetings with quality-focused input
  • Prepare QA reports, test summaries, and release readiness documentation
  • Improve QA processes, test coverage, and testing efficiency
  • Maintain QA standards, best practices, and documentation
  • Assist with test environment setup and maintenance, including hardware lab and IoT sensor configuration
  • Maintain and enhance automation frameworks
  • Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Programming, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, software testing, or a related technical role
  • 2+ years of experience in test automation
  • Good knowledge of Python or a similar programming language
  • Experience testing software applications on Windows and/or Linux
  • Experience with networking concepts and software installation preferred
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
  • Experience with automation tools such as Selenium and Postman
  • Familiarity with defect-tracking and test-management tools such as Jira
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar productivity tools
  • Experience with Linux shell scripting and/or Windows batch scripts
  • Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL
  • Experience with SNMP, NETCONF, or RESTCONF protocols is an advantage
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation, requirements, and specifications
  • Ability to write test documentation, defect reports, and QA summaries
  • Ability to create test plans and test cases from requirements
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including English
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Strong collaboration skills with developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving tools and products
