About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead day-to-day branch operations and operational performance
  • Oversee warehouse operations, delivery logistics, and inside sales teams
  • Partner with regional and outside sales organizations to support customer growth and account development
  • Drive profitable sales growth through strategic planning and execution
  • Oversee inside sales strategy, pricing, and customer support
  • Build relationships with electrical contractors, industrial customers, OEMs, suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders
  • Resolve customer issues and ensure exceptional service
  • Provide market and customer insights for the annual business plan
  • Conduct business reviews with supplier partners
  • Partner with Pricing to maintain competitive market levels and profit margins
  • Lead, mentor, coach, evaluate, and develop branch staff
  • Ensure qualified and trained staffing and implement training-gap plans
  • Manage branch purchasing, pricing, quotations, contract review, and warehouse activities
  • Collaborate on product promotions, training, and inventory strategy
  • Ensure appropriate stock levels of core electrical distribution products
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and ISO requirements
  • Assist with corporate audits and maintain branch assets and records
  • Serve as ISO Management System owner, coordinating audits, corrective actions, certification readiness, and continuous improvement
  • Provide backup support for branch drivers and counter service during peak periods or staffing gaps
  • Partner with Real Estate, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Accounting, and Finance on facility, inventory, vendor, credit, billing, and operational issues
  • Manage branch budget, revenue targets, margins, operating expenses, and profitability
  • Develop annual business plans, budgets, and sales forecasts
  • Analyze performance metrics and implement corrective actions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, supply chain, or related field preferred; equivalent industry experience is highly valued
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical wholesale distribution or related industry
  • Prior leadership or branch management experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working within ISO-compliant environments, including adherence to documented standards, audit readiness, and continuous improvement processes
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification
  • Ability to obtain DOT Medical Certificate may be required in some locations
  • Ability to travel and visit customer sites, assigned territory, company and vendor activities, including overnight stays
  • Ability to occasionally stand and often walk, sit, use hands/fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • May be required to work more than 40 hours per week
  • Subject to pre-employment assessments, Motor Vehicle Record review, criminal background checks, reference checks, and post-offer drug screen
