About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead day-to-day branch operations and operational performance
- Oversee warehouse operations, delivery logistics, and inside sales teams
- Partner with sales leadership to align inside sales targets and drive profitable sales growth
- Oversee inside sales strategy, pricing, customer support, and account development
- Build relationships with electrical contractors, industrial customers, OEMs, suppliers, and other stakeholders
- Resolve customer issues and ensure exceptional service
- Provide market and customer insights for annual business planning
- Establish business reviews with supplier partners
- Lead, mentor, coach, and develop branch staff
- Conduct performance evaluations and pay recommendations
- Ensure positions are staffed by qualified and trained personnel
- Provide management and guidance for purchasing, pricing, quotations, contract review, warehouse activities, and related functions
- Analyze training needs and implement gap-bridging plans
- Collaborate on product promotions, training, and inventory strategy
- Maintain appropriate stock levels of core electrical distribution products
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards
- Assist with corporate audits and safeguard company assets and records
- Maintain Crescent’s Business System standard processes at the branch
- Serve as the branch ISO Management System owner, maintaining certification readiness, coordinating audits, driving corrective actions, and fostering continuous improvement
- Provide backup support for branch drivers and counter service during peak periods or staffing gaps
- Partner with Real Estate, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Accounting, and Finance to resolve facility, inventory, vendor, credit, billing, and operational issues
- Manage branch budget, revenue targets, margins, operating expenses, and profitability
- Develop annual business plans, budgets, and sales forecasts
- Analyze performance metrics and implement corrective actions
- Ensure adherence to pricing strategy, credit policies, and cash management procedures
- Attend branch/company meetings and events; overnight travel may be necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, supply chain, or related field preferred; equivalent industry experience highly valued
- 5+ years of experience in electrical wholesale distribution or related industry
- Prior leadership or branch management experience strongly preferred
- Experience working within ISO-compliant environments, including adherence to documented standards, audit readiness, and continuous improvement processes
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification
- Ability to obtain DOT Medical Certificate may be required in some locations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to travel through assigned territory, visit customer sites, and attend company and vendor activities requiring overnight stays
- May be required to work more than 40 hours per week
