About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead day-to-day branch operations and operational performance
  • Oversee warehouse operations, delivery logistics, and inside sales teams
  • Partner with sales leadership on targets, pricing, customer support, and business growth
  • Drive profitable sales growth and develop new and existing customer accounts
  • Build relationships with electrical contractors, industrial customers, OEMs, suppliers, and other stakeholders
  • Resolve customer issues and ensure exceptional service
  • Provide market and customer insights for annual business planning
  • Lead, mentor, coach, and develop branch staff
  • Conduct performance evaluations and pay recommendations
  • Ensure staffing, training, safety, accountability, and compliance with company policies
  • Manage branch purchasing, pricing, quotations, contract review, warehouse activities, and inventory strategy
  • Maintain stock levels of core electrical distribution products
  • Ensure Business System processes are installed and executed at the branch
  • Serve as ISO Management System owner, coordinating audits, corrective actions, certification readiness, and continuous improvement
  • Provide backup support for branch drivers and counter service during peak periods or staffing gaps
  • Partner with Real Estate, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Accounting, Finance, and internal support teams
  • Manage branch revenue targets, margins, operating expenses, budget, profitability, forecasts, and business plans
  • Analyze performance metrics and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure adherence to pricing, credit, and cash management procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, supply chain, or related field preferred—but equivalent industry experience is highly valued
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical wholesale distribution or related industry
  • Prior leadership or branch management experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working within ISO-compliant environments, including adherence to documented standards, audit readiness, and continuous improvement processes
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification
  • Ability to obtain DOT Medical Certificate may be required in some locations
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to travel through assigned territory, visit customer sites, and attend company and vendor activities/events requiring overnight stays
  • May be required to work more than 40 hours per week
