About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead day-to-day branch operations and operational performance
  • Oversee warehouse operations, delivery logistics, inside sales, and counter sales teams
  • Partner with sales leadership to align inside sales targets and drive profitable sales growth
  • Oversee inside sales strategy, pricing, customer support, account development, and customer relationships
  • Build relationships with electrical contractors, industrial customers, OEMs, suppliers, and other stakeholders
  • Resolve customer issues and provide exceptional service
  • Provide market and customer insights for the annual business plan
  • Establish business reviews with key supplier partners
  • Partner with Pricing to maintain competitive pricing, margins, and profit goals
  • Lead, mentor, coach, evaluate, and develop branch staff
  • Ensure branch positions are staffed by qualified and trained personnel
  • Manage branch purchasing, pricing, quotations, contract review, and warehouse activities
  • Conduct training analysis and implement plans to address gaps
  • Collaborate on product promotions, training, inventory strategy, and supplier activities
  • Ensure appropriate stock levels of core electrical distribution products
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards
  • Assist with corporate audits and safeguard company assets and records
  • Ensure Crescent’s Business System processes are implemented and executed
  • Serve as ISO Management System owner, coordinating audits, corrective actions, certification readiness, and continuous improvement
  • Provide backup support for branch drivers and counter service during peak periods or staffing gaps
  • Partner with Real Estate, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Accounting, and Finance on facility, inventory, credit, billing, and operational issues
  • Manage branch revenue targets, margins, operating expenses, budget, profitability, business plans, forecasts, and cash management
  • Analyze performance metrics and implement corrective actions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, supply chain, or related field preferred; equivalent industry experience highly valued
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical wholesale distribution or related industry
  • Prior leadership or branch management experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working within ISO-compliant environments, including adherence to documented standards, audit readiness, and continuous improvement processes
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification
  • Ability to obtain DOT Medical Certificate may be required in some locations
  • Ability to travel, visit customer sites, travel through assigned territory, and attend company and vendor activities and events requiring overnight stays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • May be required to work more than 40 hours per week
