About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform radiographic examinations including fluoroscopy, trauma, portables, operating room, pain clinic and special procedures, as well as CGH Main Clinic
Perform radiographic procedures using accepted principles and practices at CGH Medical Center and the main clinic
Assess examination quality, appropriateness and results
Explain procedures to customers
Supervise student technologists
Prioritize work assignments for self and others
Complete computerized records
Assist in maintaining images and other records
Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations
Practice radiology competencies based on current scientific knowledge
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

ARRT registered in Radiology required within 1 month of hire
A current registry with the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) required within 1 month of hire
Two years’ experience in radiology preferred
Advanced knowledge of radiation protection, physics, positioning and Image critique required
Extensive computer literacy including CR, PACS and HIS required
Knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to neonate, pediatric, adolescent and/or geriatric patient groups
Ability to assess and interpret patient-status data and provide appropriate age-related care
