About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage 1–2 scrum teams building the Agent SDK, RAG pipeline, code execution sandbox, evaluations, and observability
  • Set standards for specifying work, delegating execution to AI coding agents, and verifying agent-produced output
  • Coordinate engineers and concurrent platform workstreams
  • Own SDK conventions, agent instructions, evaluation harnesses, and playbooks
  • Partner with platform consumers to shape the SDK roadmap, APIs, and guardrails
  • Coach and mentor engineers on agentic engineering practices
  • Collaborate with Product Management, UX Designers, and Tech Leads to deliver software solutions
  • Manage the team's execution roadmap, grooming pipeline, and delivery expectations
  • Maintain accountability for sprint goals and quarterly OKRs
  • Participate in department hiring
  • Improve systems and processes
  • Advocate for company values

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of experience in software development
  • 2+ years of real-world, demonstrable technical leadership
  • Object-Oriented development experience
  • Experience building or operating platform-level engineering teams, including internal SDKs, developer platforms, or infrastructure
  • Experience managing or working alongside engineers who use AI coding agents as the default way to build production software
  • Proficiency in context engineering practices, including structuring repository and task context and setting standards for agent specifications
  • Familiarity with RAG, sandboxed code execution, evaluation frameworks, and observability
  • Experience developing Software as a Service
  • Version control software, preferably Git
  • Proficiency documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Hands-on experience with LLM tooling, including RAG pipelines, vector databases, sandboxed or isolated code execution environments, and agent evaluation and observability tooling
  • Experience setting verification and security standards for agent-produced code
  • Knowledge of best practices for high-volume data storage and access
  • MySQL/MSSQL query language and database structure/design
