About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design the behavior and visual UI of new product features
- Improve the usability and design of existing products
- Research users’ behaviors and needs and identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation
- Define, test, and iterate interaction designs, including user flows, detailed wireframes, and prototypes
- Contribute to AI-assisted or AI-powered experiences
- Participate in contextual inquiry, usability testing, and competitive analysis
- Create intuitive experiences that address customer needs and support product goals
- Design polished visual UI adhering to the design system and established standards
- Use AI tools for research, discovery, ideation, prototyping, and usability testing
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and designers to deliver high-quality implementations
- Seek feedback, communicate progress, and increase ownership and independence
- Present and discuss portfolio work, design decisions, collaboration, feedback, prioritization, time management, and AI-assisted design approaches
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of product design experience working on desktop, web, or mobile software, or equivalent experience demonstrated through a strong portfolio
- Experience contributing to SaaS products or features across multiple stages of the design process, from research and discovery through design, launch, and iteration
- Ability to turn defined customer and business problems into user flows, prototypes, and polished interfaces
- Portfolio demonstrating strong foundations in user research, information architecture, interaction design, prototyping, usability testing, and visual UI design
- Ability to work effectively within established design systems and patterns while recognizing opportunities for improvement
- Curiosity about AI and willingness to develop new tools, methods, and skills as the design practice evolves
- Employment contingent on passing both a background and credit check
- Ability to work in a Utah-based hybrid position with regular in-office days each week
