About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Engineer and maintain secure, resilient, and performance-optimized cloud environments
- Partner hands-on with internal engineering teams to embed security into architecture and developer tooling
- Design and enforce secure identity and access strategies across cloud environments with IAM counterparts
- Harden cloud platforms against emerging threats while maintaining resilience and high availability
- Lead cloud-centric disaster recovery exercises
- Build automation, pipelines, and guardrails using Terraform/IaC and Kubernetes
- Secure infrastructure behind AI-driven pipelines and agentic workflows
- Advise and collaborate with product engineering to translate requirements into secure, practical infrastructure
- Adapt architecture and priorities as the company scales
- Assist during relevant incident response investigations
- Report to the Sr Director of Cyber Resiliency and work embedded in project pods with product engineering partners
Requirements
What you’ll need- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong, hands-on GCP or AWS engineering experience required
- Experience with Azure is a plus
- Solid DevOps background with Terraform/IaC, Kubernetes (GKE), and CI/CD pipelines
- Track record of designing systems that are secure, resilient, and built to accelerate engineering velocity
- Comfort with ambiguity and rapid change
- Prior experience at a fast-moving or late-stage startup is a strong plus
