About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create a world-class Brand Home Visitor Experience at Chandon
- Lead the food and beverage team by attracting, recruiting, training and appraising personnel
- Facilitate and participate in training covering wine and food, sales excellence, service excellence, safety and security
- Deliver ISO and service standards, sequence of service, equipment quality, par levels, product presentation, service and product training
- Develop annual team and individual training targets, KPIs, policies and procedures
- Coach staff on customer service standards, sales techniques, teamwork and culture
- Foster two-way communication, motivation, teamwork and an ownership environment
- Develop and publish weekly schedules for direct reports
- Communicate policy changes, events and daily functions clearly and promptly
- Attend and conduct Brand Home Leadership meetings
- Manage day-to-day hospitality and experience operations within budget and quality standards
- Examine daily duties, assign tasks and monitor progress
- Ensure brand messaging and staff professionalism in visitor interactions
- Monitor daily bookings and ensure tables are prepared before arrival
- Provide personalized service for disabled guests, elderly guests, children and VIPs
- Coordinate guest-staff communication, resolve customer concerns and actively handle complaints
- Analyze post-reservation surveys and social media reviews and recommend improvements
- Identify obstacles, create efficiencies and lead operational changes
- Design Chandon Experience menus and seasonal offerings, purchase goods and improve offerings
- Operate and oversee Exclusive and Private Event Experiences according to BEO specifications
- Coordinate communication among event planning, operations and culinary teams
- Maintain food and beverage event equipment in proper operating condition
- Manage staffing, work assignments and performance goals for private and exclusive events
- Assist with annual budget goals for wine and food experiences and visitor traffic
- Meet monthly revenue and wine club acquisition goals through strategic management of experiences
- Manage the reservation system for maximum efficiency
- Manage expenses within budgets and sales goals
- Control labor costs through effective scheduling
- Manage upsell incentives and drive experience upgrades, wine and food add-ons and retail sales
- Manage POS operations and daily opening and closing, accurately handling cash and credit card transactions
- Ensure secure and professional handling of credit and financial transactions
- Establish COGS for new experiences and menu items
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong leadership and management skills
- Organizational and communication skills
- Supervisory experience in a Hotel/Restaurant or similar environment
- Profound knowledge of customer service, conflict management and service recovery
- Undergraduate degree is strongly preferred or applicable experience
- English required; a second language is helpful but not required
- Proven work experience as a Front Office Manager, Guest Relations Manager, Restaurant Manager, Supervisor or similar role
- Experience mentoring a large staff with varied levels of experience and maturity
- Strong understanding of consumer trends and behaviors
- Degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration or relevant field
- Ability to build teams, motivate others, manage vision and purpose, set and deliver against priorities, and deal with ambiguity
- Working knowledge of Tock, MS Office, restaurant management software and POS
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills
- Customer service drive with outstanding communication and active listening skills
- Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills
- Leadership skills and ability to motivate a team into high performance
- Strong sense of responsibility and professional presentation
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays
