About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Meet regularly with authorized Srixon/Cleveland Golf accounts throughout the assigned Long Island territory
  • Explain company culture, values, principles, philosophy, programs, and products
  • Conduct sales and service visits; communicate, inform, present, and process orders
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer and home office inquiries in person, by phone, or email
  • Exceed customer expectations and create a high-quality customer experience
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with customers and individuals involved in the selling process
  • Conduct product knowledge training seminars as needed
  • Conduct at least one annual demo day, short game clinic, fitting day, or promotional day for staff and program accounts
  • Average 4–6 sales calls per day in season and 2–4 per day during prebook season
  • Increase sales through approved distribution channels
  • Manage and process demo and personal-use product orders
  • Adhere to company policies regarding credit, returns, and global distribution strategy
  • Manage and maintain collateral materials and obtain prime floor space for them
  • Identify potential new customer locations and assist with processing
  • Keep the company informed of customer-status changes and contact information
  • Submit and update visitation and demo-day activities
  • Attend company seminars, meetings, regional or national trade shows as directed
  • Submit territory absence or vacation plans at least two weeks in advance for approval
  • Participate in annual performance reviews and implement follow-up direction, travel summaries, and feedback
  • Perform other assigned tasks and duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Four-year college degree preferably in marketing or related business field; or comparable job experience which may include Customer Service, Tour, Tech Van or other related experience with a minimum of HS diploma; or a combination of the above may be considered
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Familiarity with computers and applications (Word or Excel for example)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Excellent language and math skills required
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must work well with others
  • Ability to initiate and maintain correspondence with customers and home office
  • Ability to take direction and critical feedback and to act on that direction
  • Ability to stand, walk over irregular surfaces and terrain, reach, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, or crouch
  • Ability to drive a vehicle carrying product samples, displays, demo day tent, fitting carts, and supplies
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Territory managers may not represent any other companies or products
